Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
International Humanity Foundation offers unique internship positions to medical, nursing and public health students. IHF runs children’s homes in Kenya and Thailand, as well as education centers in Indonesia. One of our aims is to improve health awareness among our children, their families and entire communities.
Volunteering with us gives students a chance to:
-Gain unique, health-related skills in a low income setting that will enhance your CV and set you apart from your peers

-Help those who do not otherwise have the means to access quality and affordable healthcare

-Gain experience in health promotion and community education

-Pass on your knowledge to other local leaders to make sustainable, long-terms changes within communities

-Develop and run your very own health program – this can be focused around any specific interests you have in your current studies relevant to our centers
-Work directly with children as well as the greater community

-Learn intimately about the international issues of education, human rights, abuse and poverty as well as local issues such as indigenous rights, land tenure, ethnic conflicts.
Our foundation:
- is run entirely by volunteers, which offers a unique work setting
- supervises you, listens to your ideas and acknowledges your contribution
- will work with your university to award you credit, if possible
- offers basic accommodation and food

Each IHF center is a product of its environment and follows the cultural code and norms of its host country. So must our staff and interns.

Minimum length of an internship is 4 weeks and we charge 55 - 75 per week for room and board. The Internship is unpaid, and we are not able to cover travel or insurance expenses or any other costs related to the internship.

Please take the time to familiarize yourself further with our organization via our website www.ihfonline.org and our blog http://ihfblog.wordpress.com/home/
If you have any questions or you are ready to apply, please contact university.relations@ihfonline.org
